Checking with others: Funny problems in my cars

hi! i want to ask you guys opinion regarding the small-but-bugging problems in my car... couple of them probably not significant at all.... i hope you guys can share your experience, possibly with the same condition (2003 Civic EX Sedan)..

1. Brake pedal clicks when pushed down. about 2 clicks that you can feel while you're pressing it down...

2. clutch pedal squeek-whining when pressing and depressing it....it's in TSB and possibly the cylinder?

3. gas pedal....shreeking noise when pressing it during acceleration....funny shreek noise...maybe not from the gas pedal itself?

4. wrinkle on top of the trim just above the front side windows...?

5. driver side seat.....rocking back forth....damn annoying...also in TSB

6. power steering whining/whistling when turning it about 180 degree to left or right... mostly during HOT weather...?

7. another clicking noise coming from the front brakes....but NOT the pedal....it's like one or two clicks the first time you press the brake pedal during first 2 minutes of driving...

8. a bit unusual wind noise from front side windows during highway cruise.... i didn't remember such noise when driving my old 02 coupe...

9. ...............................

any comments? same problem? stories?

noticed that those 04 ex rims that you bought off of me seem to be working well .

Try putting some grease on the clutch master cylinder shaft, that should fix the squeaking. As for the brake I would start by checking the sensor. If that is not the culprit I would say then you may have brake issues, but it sounds like you are saying that it comes from in the car, so I would say it has somthing to do with the pedel.

^wait........were you the one who sold me the wheels? lol! the dude from Ohio? lol!

erh...btw...i sold my 2002 coupe...and got myself the 2003 sedan...lol. unfortunately...the buyer personally asked me to hand over the wheels with the car...lol.

anywho, now i gotr myself the 2005 SE wheels from another forum member, lmao!

the click actually comes from the pedal....maybe the spring or something? you can actually feel it on your leg when you're pushing down the pedal, lol

ah.....of coarse...my infamous input shaft bearing on the manual tranny....that's one PITA to replace

1) Bad breaks?

2) Yes your clutch master cylinder will go out. Probably when you replace your clutch. (replaced mine like 20,000 miles ago)

3) Throttle cable adjustment? Have you done it? If not TRY IT, it will HELP!!!!

4)???

5) Yep the "frame" of you seat wasn’t assembled correctly from the factory for some reason. I too have the same problem. (02 EX CP)

6) Time to change power steering fluid.

7) Bad breaks?

8) Bad weather striping?

my .2

Off topic: Zen I decided NOT to repace my input shaft bearing! I was mis quoted by my shop! Its gona be $500 to insatall a $20 bearing. Im in the process of buying another TRANNY NOW! Got my hands on an 04 EX tranny for $450 delivered to my house for $550. Thought Id let you know my progress. Because if you DONT replace the bearing as soon as it goes out. Your tranny is Fvcked!!! It just continues to grind everyday. Just geting worse & worse. Hear is the link to my dead tranny http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=266222

Yeah, I had to change my name for reasons that I won't discuss LOL

BLKCIVIC, I don't think that it is the clutch master cylinder. The only way it goes bad is if the seals are leaking and then you would notice fluid inside of the car on the floor mat. Zen, check to see if this is the case, but if it is not then try throwing a bit of good all purpose grease on.

I repace my maser clutch cylinder after my second clutch.

soooooooo this is just my experence.

I did catch you grease thread for a squeekey clutch. Great advice there. But one randome day I went into first and the car stalled. It was in fact my maser clutch cylinder....

again no disrespect this is just my .2

^^^none taken LOL, I am betting there was a leak somewhere though you just may not have noticed it, it does not take much at all and you really have to look around on the carpet. I think that there is only one major seal, the one that is around the pluger and displaces the fluid when you push in on the clutch pedle.

I just don't like the idea of replacing it beacuase it is a sonofabitch to get to and they are not cheap, even from majestic honda's online parts store.

click noise when you press brakes...brake sensor. go under where the pedal is, and change the sensor to its opposite configuration. there are two ways it goes in, just remove and put back the other way.
