Was stopped at a stoplight Saturday night. I'm not moving and no cars moving around me and all of a sudden my windshield cracked from the bottom right corner to about 4" from the left edge. I'm guessing it was the cold that did it... still something like that shouldn't happen.

Called the dealer this morning. They need to look at it and make sure it was a stress crack and not a rock or something before they replace it.

Just thought it was kind of odd.

thats a known problem with some of the 2001's. the windshield had something blocking it from sitting flat which would cause it to crack

Turns out that it wasn't so sporadic anyway. I took the car to the dealer and they were able to show me where a rock had hit it. I guess it made a weak spot, and took a little time to actually crack.
Ah well... that's what insurance is for.
