Ok
so i got my ex exhaust conversion thing done...sort of
Had some trouble with the donut gasket it was too small. And the sway bar was in the way of the highflow cat so we had to take it off. Now my question is the car is still drivable correct? and in order to get another swaybar it would have to be for the ex. Is it going to clear that cat?
I need some help guys as i have lost my transportation until its fixed

i'm thinkin of doing the same thing, this is what 'familycar' told me:
ok hopefully i can clear this up for you because i have the swap. dx/lx's have the cat inside the manifold. the ex's have the cat inside the downpipe under the car. so the ex swap you will need the ex header ex cat pipe/downpipe and ex exhaust. i used dc header, random technologies cat pipe, and greddy evo 2 exhaust. you will need a ex sway bar as well to do the swap because the dx/lx swar bar doesnt have to go around the cat as the ex does. you can also use a rsx swaybar which is what i would reccomend
you will also have to extend your o2 wires, make sure not to mix up the white wires and also make sure to solder them and run loom or cold shrink tape around it to seal it up. i did btoh cold shrink tape and loom

ya i have done all that its all ready to start up just wanted to know if its ok to drive on without the sway bar on there.

cant quite give u and answer for the sway bar thing, i wouldn't drive it without one if at all possible, may throw somethin outta wack. as for the sway bar i believe the civic ex and rsx 02-04 sway bar are interchangable, but the reason 'familycar' recommended the rsx route is because it comes out cheaper. why so hard extending the o2 wires?

*edit* Not that anyone cares but i bought a new oem ex sway bushing/endlinks for 77bucks from honda

yes you can drive with out a sway bar. i still havent installed one. i have my shocks on the tightest setting and its not too bad at all. i have just had some $$ issues lately. i have a 96 teg that needs a motor so i am trying to save to get that done. so the vic has kind of been put on hold until then. but soon enough ill have rsx front and rear sway bars. i also need a set of tires for both cars so i need about $3k right now just to get them back up to par. anyone willing to pitch in??? LOL j/k
