Angry Fallson Its Face

Ok My car came darn close to overheating today on my b16 swap I think. The water was boiling out of the overflow tank (so it most likely overheated) guess my temperature guage dont work. So i checked the hoses and they had no pressure in them. I changed the thermostat took it on a test drive and when I got to 6500 rpms in first and second gear the car would fall on its face (wouldnt accelerate) it was like it had a rev limiter that kicked in (I have no rev limiter on the car). Does anyone have any Idea on what it could be. I know alot about v8 chevys but not as much about hondas. thank you very much.

is your check engine light on? if so it limits the rpm. what car is this? sounds like you might have a leak and maybe damaged the motor if it overheated. possible blown headgasket.
