imagine a dealer who refuses to fix a problem with a car.
Okay, I have had the rocking seat nightmare in my 2001 civic since July of 2001. I have brought it back three times. They have replaced bushings, seat tracks and seat back. GUESS WHAT? Seat is still loose. SIDE AIR BAG light is on. I have recently met with a dealer rep who told me that the dealership has done everything it can do and that it is my problem. Imagine that? From a dealer rep??? The servie manager said to me "I can't change the desig of the car for you."
Then today the stupid CD door under the radio popped off! This car blows. i should've bought a hyundai!!!
I have to deal with the Better Business Bureau now.
has anyone dealt with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU over a car and has there been any progress made from it?

I haven't dealt with the Better Business Bureau, but I wish you the best of luck with that. I'm sorry to hear that you're having so many problems with your new car.
Do not go through the better business bureau. You will be doing an arbitration and you won't get much out of it. I dont know new york laws but here in cali according to the lemon law I'm gonna make bank off buying this piece of **** car. I'm in the process of suing American Honda. I have a lawyer that Honda has to pay for and im gonna get all the money i put into the car back. If you do an arbitration you don't get everything back cuz they say that you sit down with a neutral party and hash it out mmm well not exactly neutral. Find out what the new york lemon law is then hire a lawyer.

first, GO TO A DIFFERENT DEALER
if you have the same problems with that dealer, definitely call american honda, then get a lawyer and pursue the lemon law if necessary
there is a service bulletin on the seat rocking problem, honda can fix it, i have no problems with it at all in my 2k2
by the way, that hyundai you "should have bought" would have given you a hell of a lot more problems later on, which would have cost lots of $$$$

this thread title is misleading....... they did fix the problem for you, they replaced everything that would cause the problem. they dont have to do anything else since this is not a recall. im not trying to be a jerk, but look at the situation from their perspective, id be a bit skeptical if i were them.
