I've had the exhaust for more than a year with no problems. Recently however, that has changed. A few months ago a rattling sound began to happen when I stepped on the gas. It sounds like ball bearings in a metal can. I finally put it on a lift and checked underneath for anything it could be hitting. Tons of clearance, it wasn't that. I checked by the canister giving it a few taps. It seems my baffle some how broke off in the muffler. I called greddy and they said I needed a whole new exhaust! That seems a little extreme. My idea is to see if I can remove the baffle by disassembling the exhaust. If it's completely detached inside it should just fall out. That is, unless it's bigger than the hole it's trapped behind. Are there any dangers or consequences to doing this? Any help would be appreciated. The sound is driving me insane.

are you sure its not your cat or a piece of your cat inside the muffler. becasue even if you get the peice out if the cat is chunking up then the problem will just return

your catylitic converter not your house cat! LOL j/k
unbolt the cat pipe and look to see if the grate is still inside the cat and there are no missing peices
