Exclamation Door locks kinda

Hey everyone, maybe someone can help me out or explain this to me. Basically my drivers side door does not lock when I use the lock button inside. But...it will lock when I use the keyless entry. Also...if I try to lock it manually from the inside...it still won't lock. The only way to lock it is to use the keyless.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it? It's kinda ridiculous. Also..would that be covered under warranty? I'm kind of assuming it would be.

Are you pulling the handle to lock it manually? If not it won't. If that checks out then it has to be your switch. Swap sides or jumper it and see if it works. If it does then buy a new switch.

I'm not pulling on the handle to lock it, actually when I'm in the car and try to manually push down the lock to lock it, it will not go down.

I will try to Jumper it when I get home from work and see if that works. Maybe I need a new door lock assembly?

yeah alot of Hondas, possibly all of them, have to do that to lock it.. whether you are pushing it down manually or pushing the button you have to hold the door handle open. I guess its a don't forget to lock the door/grab your keys reminder safety issue.

That ended up being the problem. I didn't have the handle on the door that pulls on the rod that opens the door from the inside. I put it all back together and now it works. Thanks for the help guys!
