I had my 2001 Acura EL A/C condenser replaced in May 2005 because the last row of cooling fins was falling off. The dealer replaced the condenser with a new one (P/N 80110-S5A-003) under my extended warranty. Now the replacement condenser is falling apart again. The last row is completely separated and the second to last row fell backwards towards the radiator. The dealer said that they have been seeing more and more of these failing recently. The condenser and made of bare aluminum with no corrosion protection. They will replaced it again but they will paint it before to protect it from the elements (road salt, etc.).

You better check your cars.

Note: Condenser P/N 80110-S5A-003 are for 2001-2003 models, and P/N 80110-S5A-T01 are for 2004-2005 models. The -T01 and twice the price of the -003 (perhaps a better quality).
