EX owners with AEM shortram intake
i wouldn't have made a thread but i have no other alternative at this point....my intake came in from ups so i decided to go put it on...well i'm almost finished with the removal of all the stock stuff and i got to the airbox and i'm stuck. in the instructions provided, it shows 4 bolts to remove and they tell you to just take it out. that's not possible because it's attached to a hose of some sort with a clamp that i cannot get undone for the world. so that's my question, how can i get this airbox disconnected from that hose? if you've installed this thing, you have to know what i'm talking about. everything else was a breeze up until this point.
thanks for any help..

that clamp thing was tricky when i first saw it too. all you have to do is twist it so the two tabs are facing up. then you "pinch" it to losen the clamp from the hose. from that point you kinda "wiggle" the hose out while still pinching the clamp together. that should be it.

i cut the piece of plastic that was connecting the airbox to the clamp so i don't have any 2 things to connect anymore...the clamp is still on the hose all by itself
now i'm having issues disconnecting the I.A.T. sensor connector's wiring harness from what it's mounted to in order to insert the sensor into the intake pipe...the mount thing won't allow the wires to reach far enough....
i swear, i've never spent this much time installing an intake in my life.
