Altenator removal

Hi there
I need to replace my altenator on my 2002 Civic and I cant figure out how to remove it. I have taken off the power steering pumb and the top bolt from the alternator, but I can figure out how to disconnect the power cables and where the bottom bolt is. Can anyone help me?

Thanks
Chris

Re: Altenator removal

I am not sure if the 2002 is like the 1999 where the alternator is located to the firewall and back of the engine. The bolt underneath the alternator can be reached if you block up the car and take off the driver side wheel. According to the service manual I have it is supposed to come off underneath and not up through the engine compartment. Good luck
