I have a 2003 honda civic hx currently i have a skunk 2 exhaust that is said to be made for the ex,i was wondering what is the diference in exhaust systems,i'm not happy with the exhaust an its for sell its practically brand new i'll take 300 i paid 571. Can any body tell me the difference between the exhaust systems. An what exhaust systems have been said to sound the best?
P.S. I'm new to the site as far as posting goes so for all you helpful *******s out there is this the right forum an if not what is.....

Agreed...But to answer your questions as far as the differences between the two are only in the fron section i.e. the manifolds are different due to the Pre-cat in the manifold in the HX. The down pipe is the main difference........from Cat-Back they are identical.

the greddy evo2 i know is. that is the route i chose to go. i love it. its not to loud and has a deep sound at idle that you can barely hear. and on the freeway at cruising speeds its almost unnoticable(sp)

i have the skunk 2 and it is the loudest exhaust so ive heard, i agree it is loud, i havent been pulled over yet for it and you do hear it when cruising but it doesnt annoy me cause i listen to music loud and also when you put the silencer in it sounds like stock, cant really notice you have it.
No, my exhaust isent loud thats why i hate it all i hear is intake,does any body know why bolting on an ex skunk2 exhaust system to my HX would some how trigger my check engine light to come on? the code says soemthing about an auxillery malfuntion or soemthing .........i have an HP Racing header an i getting ready to order a new tsudo N-1 exhaust, does any body have this exhaust what does it really sound like, i don't have any 02 simulaters i bought the header used an he didn't have them how big of a problem will have putting this header on as long as it fits correctly, the guy i bought it from said it nocked the subframe an he wasn't grindin n e thing so he saold it to me at a reasonable price!!!
supposedly with the hp header you need 2 o2 simulators. that is not something oyu want man. your replacing the signal from the o2 sensor with a fake signal. so in reality your ecu never truly knows what your AFR is. this can be dangerous becasue it doesnt how to tell you if something is malfunctioning. not to mention the fact that by cutting the subframe your weakening the cars ovreall structure. it could cause a lot more damage than its worth. i woul dneve i mean never run both o2 on a simulator unless i had some other form of monitoring tool ie: wideband or egt at least. there are plenty of other ways and manufacturers that make headers for the car. going the cheap route can end up being more expensive when you have to start replacing parts and repairing parts. its just not worth it in the end.
Where did you get yer header at i can't find a dc sports lx/dx heder n e where does the ex header fit our car, i wish i would of known all of this, i would of bought an ex, i get so irritated trying to find stuff for my car i'm about to just say **** it!!!! an quit
