Im starting to doubt my civic
Well this morning when Im on my way to work I start my engine and warm my engine. Then Im started to back up of my garage. My engine just died. I start my car and it's just keep on dying. THERES NO MUTHAFK IDLING SPEED. So I check the throtle cable adjusted the idling speed adjust the throtle cable. **** still no good. I called my dealer tow my civic to the shop. They check my engine they ask about my AEM CAI how long I have it. I said I have them install soon as I get out of the dealer. And since then got no problem. But I have a feeling they gonna blame it to my CAI. I have my car just 3 mos from now. I only put 2000 miles on it but WTF how could these happen.

Always put it back to stock b4 bringing it to the dealer with engine problems...they will blame everything on your modifications because then they are not liable for costs.

if they blame ur cai, they have to, by law prove it in some sort of way that the cai is the cause, they can't just say "oh that cai screwed up ur engine because we say so"

Voiceofid is right on the money..they have to prove it was your CAI (could be - check your intake air temp sensor, also you should reset the ECU after an install......

- its your alternator and battery. i think your alternator is not recharging your battery or something like that.
- heres the same story, this pasty january, my friend who drives a 2000 integra gsr, his car kept dying. at first, the speed tach wouldn't move, we taught it was his computer chip. but after three hours going home from a party, his car kept dying on the highway. everything he started it, it kept dying, a couple seconds later.
- solution: recharge your battery, just enough to take it to the dealership.

Yeah Voiceofid is right
Just argue it all the way, they by law have to bring in Honda to look at it and then they make a rulling as to if your at fault or not. I asked this question to my dealer before I did anything to my car, but my local dealer is cool about this stuff.
But just like in an accident if its your fault, deny it all the way even if its apparent that its your fault.

Your Alternator ain't got no juice brotha man !! And that my boy, is under warranty. If they say it's because
of your CAI, then ooIo those fuggers off, and tell them to kiss your

Do you have any kind of aftermarket security system on the car. On my old cobra, my system kept killing the engine because the fuse fell out of it, so it automaticly killed the car.

could be your fuel pump, my girlfriends POS elantra had a similar problem, and when the shop finally fixed it, they told her it was her fuel pump (though i have a feeling they lied to make more money off it, they quoted her $200 for a different problem, then when she went to pick it up all of a sudden it was her fuel pump and over $700)

You know man what's funny last week my Ford Explorer 93 model just stall on the freeway with fuel Pump problem. It wont even start the engine. My Civic can start but there is no idling speed. I thought having a new car will have less problem. i understand my Explorer stalling on the freeway cuz its a 9 years old SUV. But WTF I only have a 3 mos old civic with 2000 miles on it.
