kinda annoying

i have no idea why but whenever i drive, the damn thing that holds the hood up keeps coming off and makes an annoying sound whenever i hit the gas....cuz its on the headers thats why its making the sound......why does it keep on coming off? so annoying lol

um you mean the hood is vibrating? just loosen those rubber stoppers so the hood sits lower and no more rattle.

no not the hood bro, the stick that holds up the hood whenever your doing work under it....adding oil or w/e

it comes off from where the stick is suppose to clamp down...the holder is there bbut i dont kno how it comes off. when i was looking at it...behind the driver side headlight, the place where the stick is....its kinda loose in there...maybe cuz its moving so much when i drive it pops out of place.

put a piece of sticky tape or some kind of putty so when you push it in it doesn't move around

i just replaced both clips that hold it in.

I bought the pivoting clip, and the holding clip (holds it when closed).

It cost me a whopping $3.60 direct from my local honda dealer.
That vibrating was pissing me off.

the part numbers are....
370148 for the pivoting end clip

and

370147 for the holder clip

pivoting end clip? i don't seem to have that. its just the metal bar going in a hole. maybe it fell out lol

yea, it is supposed to have a white circular clip. Honda calls it the Hood Rod Grommet.

but was the stick coming off? mine came off again last night on the way from work and when open the hood to put it in place, it was on the headers just sitting there..
