interesting electrical problem

A few days ago i got into my car and noticied a burning smell. Not thirty seconds later, my head unit emitts smoke, it also 'turns' off, or loses power. So i pull the head unit out, and proceed to disassemble the dash. Upon doing so, i see a single bare wire, which i believe was the power antanea wire. It was originaly covered with electrical tape, which i presume froze and then moved, baring the wire. So i checked the radio fuse, which did'nt blow. So i got out my multimeter, and measured the outputted voltage across the power wire, and got nothing, (with the car on or off). Another problem arose, the power locks don't work when the car is off now, (they did prior to this incident). I already checked the fuses for the window relays, just in case, but they are all fine. (the locks work fine when the car is on). any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
