My Back Wheel Locked Up

Ok so i live in calgary right, and the weather is like really cold and before i came home from lunch i took my car to the do it yourself carwash. Well i tried to use the car at nite and well the back left wheel is locked up and i couldnt drive anywhere. could it be because my brakes are frozen or is it something else??? any help on this matter would be great. I already tried driving it on dry pavement and the tire just skids.

thanks

tacheon is on a distinguished road
Sounds like the parking brake cable is hung up on one side. You'll have to jack it up to see if that is the case.

Parking cable.... Did you use the parking brake when the car was being washed?

ouch that sucks, i had my wheels brozen to the ground once, and front brakes frozen causing me not to be able to stop.. but try to bring your car into a warm area above 0 so you can get stuff to defrost.

Little late, but probably got water into the rear drum and it froze the shoe to the drum. You should be able to break it loose by repeatedly stepping on the brakes hard. For next time. It may also have been the cable, in which case you break IT loose by pulling on the E-brake a few times.

In Berlin, where I came from, it's all routine every winter.
