Exclamation Anyone here done a o2 sensor yet?

Did a little searching, mostly found o2 sims.

I'm throwing codes on and off for PO133 slow sensor response bank 1 sensor 1. Has anyone here done one have a good place to buy, prices, diy?

Thanks, wanna do this as soon as possible seeing as it's my primary sensor.

I've done them on a few other vehicles. Get yourself an oxygen sensor socket. It's basically a deep socket with a notch in the side to allow the harness to go through it. You can buy an oxygen sensor from anywhere which sells car parts along with the socket. It's as easy as changing a spark plug. Just unplug harness, and remove the oxygen sensor. Installation is same as removal. If it doesn't turn with a moderate amount of force, use a penetrating lubricant, wait an hour, and try again. Forcing it out will result in a stripped threads.

Yeah, it's fairly simple to get do, getting it turn is a bit of a pain though. Use some PB Blast, spray and let it set for a couple of hour try agian and just keep spraying it down until it turns. I presonally just use a wrench, but I have not done it on a 7thgen, so maybe there is not enough room for that.

part number 18 40.00 bux plus shipping oem honda. a proper sized wrench will work fine do not use an adjustable. If you have problems getting it off run the car around the block and try it while its hot.

A SIM is fine for SECONDARY sensor, but not primary. I think that the car would run better with both, unless you have no cat.

The light is going on and off, few days on, few days off, what up with that?

My car was doing exactly what ur car is doing... then the light stayed on, and now im getting hit with an $800 CAN repair bill for various plugs and injectors and the like, as well as an O2 sensor.

im not sure if its stuff i could do myself or not... id love to do it tho.

Its an easy install. Yes get the socket and becareful not to strip the o2 nut.

You might be able to just remove the old o2 sensor and clean it off using a propane torch to burn off the crap that may have accumlated on it.

Good luck.
