Weird Sound After Running Into Deep Pothole
Weird Sound After Running Into Deep Pothole
Folks
Recently my front left tyre ran into a pretty deep pothole on the road. After
that, I begin to hear some weird "wooonggg" sound from the front left
area during idle. The sound goes "woonggg... wooonggg..." low pitched, not very loud but audible.
I rev it a little to > 1000rpm, the sound still there. Turning aircond
on or off wouldn't help either. Has the strong thud caused some parts to loosen and caused this sound? Belt? Anyone has any idea? Thanks in advance.

That type of sound generally comes from a broken spring. Does it make the sound when you a still or only when you are moving?
The sound happens both still and moving. Of course, it'll be more audible during still without the external road and usual engine noise to drown it.
I suspect something related to moving parts on the engine or attached to the engine. Maybe belt loosen? Not sure. Anyone has any ideas?
