stripped nut

As I was attempting to install my new header, I stripped the nut that is on the far right as you are looking at the header. The one that is kinda hard to get to. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get the darn thing off? Please help!!

Take off the p/s pump and you can get to it easy. It can try a lot of things and how did you strip it by tightening or losening? You were probably using the wrong socket its a 12 mm is that what you used?

I'd rather not go through the trouble of taking anything off. I did use a 12mm socket, i guess i was just at a wrong angle or something but it stripped. And my dumb*ss didn't stop before it was too late. The nut is pretty round now. Oh, btw, I was trying to loosen the nut to put in a new header.

Well just take it to a mechanic and he will get it off for you. Just tell him your new to mechanics and you messed up. You most likely did have it in the wrong angle its a pretty tuff one for a beginner. Good luck

Yeah, those things work great so long as you can get to the damaged nut. If you are trying to get on the back side of a WRX's down pipe with one, then you're screwed.
