ebay fogs stopped working

I had my 01-03 ebay fogs installed back in April. Everything was working fine until last week when it suddenly stopped working. The indicator light on the button still works, and its now brighter than before. I checked the fog fuse and it was ok. There was this red wire coming out from the switch and the copper core was kinda exposed at one point. Could this cause the fog lights to not come on? Or could it be something else? How about that power relay thing? Thanks.

Check the ground wire for the fog light harness under the hood. That's why mine stopped working. Soldered it to a good ground that won't corrode and all has been good since.

Do you know how many ground wires there are? There is a grounding wire for the right fog light but none for the left one. There was never one for the left if i remember correctly.

There is only one ground for both lights. You'll just have to follow the harness and see where the ground lug is bolted to the car. Most likely corroded. There is another ground lug inside the car where the harness plugs into the fuse panel.

turn them on & wiggle the plug to the bulb itself & see if it turns on. if it does leave ti that way & tape the wire to the harness liek that. it happened to my driverside foglight & i jsut taped the wire into the connector better & it works fine now.
