Air Conditioning Issue
I have yet to take it to my AC shop, mainly because it's on the other side of town and I work all day when they are open, so I tried to fix this problem myself and couldn't, so maybe someone here can tell me whats wrong.
My car is a '94 and when I bought it 2 years ago the AC didn't work. I had the dealership replace the compressor and recharge it for me, and it worked fine for all of a month. Since the car is obviously out of warranty I didn't feel like being raped at the dealership to get it fixed, so I have ignored the problem for like 2 years. Well now comes the time for me to sell it, and I wanna see if this can be fixed cheaply as to boost the cars value.
Anyway, I bought one of those recharger kits from Wal-Mart, hooked it up and it said that the system was full of freon. My A/C blows strong, it's just not cold, and I don't know what else it could be if it has freon and blows, just not cold. I don't really know alot about AC systems, but want to see if anyone here does and might know off the top of their head whats wrong.
So, thanks in advance for any help!

I dont know what kind of kit Walmart sells for a DIY freon check, but it may be wrong. If you have freon and it blows you should have cold air. Usually warm blowing air means little or no freon because of a leak.

Check if the AC compressor actually engages when you turn on the AC. If it does not, check fuses, then the low pressure switch on the receiver/drier, and all the plugs and connections for the switch and compressor. If nothing happens, take the 2 wires at the receiver/drier and bridge them with a wire to see if the switch is bad. If the the compressor clicks on and runs, you either have a bad switch or LOW freon. DO NOT keep running the compressor like this. Have the system topped off instead.
