What the hell is an egt? Where can i buy one? I am planning on buying a wideband but i don't know which one

egt = Exhaust Gas Temperature

another good tool to have when tuning. Zeitronix wideband can read EGTs. you buy the EGT probe, weld it in and it displays on the display. it displays boost pressure too if you want it too. This is the one I use its a pretty good device.

/\ exactly. it measures your exhaust gas temps. this is helpful in knowing if your running lean or rich. both will yeild higher temps. too high of temps and you could be blowing more than hg's. but a wideband can pretty much tell you the same thing by telling you your afr. but a egt can be more responsive because it can be closer to the head. you usually want to put the probe in the primary of the hottest exhaust port.
