Eng cuts out at 4k.

After driving for about 5-10miles the engine starts to act up when ever I hit 4k rpm then cuts out. Any ideas?

when you say cuts out, do you mean the engine dies? Also is your check engine light on?

Its just like its hits the rev limit but at 4k instead of the actual rev limit. The eng stays on and as soon as it drops below 4k it acts normal until I hit 4k again.

Whenever the engine light comes on, that's as far as the car lets you go.

Yup. Many reasons can cause this. If it's a Vtec car the requirements for vtec may not be met. Low oil pressure can be one of those requirement. Have the CEL code read then post back. but CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL. Spun rod bearings suck ***.
