Fixing an exhaust leak
Fixing an exhaust leak
I installed a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system on my 01 civic LX awhile back and it hasn't had any problems up till now. Lately, there's been a hissing noise coming from underneath the car, and i've come to the conclusion that i've an exhaust leak coming from the connection between the headers and the exhaust pipe itself. I've got Kamikaze headers in my civic too so i figured something was wrong with the headers. I took the car to the shop and they told me i needed a donut to help seal up that connection with the headers and the pipe. I suppose the heat, over time, warped the metal. Having Kami's takes out the option of a cat converter so it's free-flowing air going through, but my stock donut didn't fit the pipe because the pipe's so much bigger than my stock exhaust. Does anyone know where i can get this donut???? the shop guys don't have one for me that's big enough for the exhaust pipe.
