WTF..dealership wont fix..
dealership wont even look or fix my steering problem cuz i hit a curb and the steering wheel is pretty off. Im guessing its an alignment and maybe something bent. They said they cant even get it up on the lift and wont even try. i said its possible to get up with boards and what not but its like they dont even care to try. i guess maybe that extended warranty i bought i should cancel before it starts taking effect because the reason i have it is incase my engine goes. If they wont even check the engine and get it on a lift, why even keep the car.
I'm guessing your car is lowered. Most dealers won't even try to get a lowered car onto a lift, but you could always try another dealer. If your suspension "caused" the problem, then they are under no obligation to fix it. If this is somthing YOU did (ie: hitting a curb), then they may, or may not fix it. It's at their discression at that point. But if you have an aftermarket warranty... You may want to call the warranty Co. to try and find another shop that covers their warranty. Thats what I'd do. It's a hassle to deal with them, but if you stick in there, they'll give in.
More of a liability issue. If they try to get it on and rip your front cover off or rip the liners out with part of the fender. Would you pay for it or expect them to pay for it?
Not to mention since you've moded the car they can be a true pain the *** by voiding your entire warrenty. In most cases they only void the part you've replaced aftermarket or done yourself.

well im thinking of cancelling the extended warranty i got cuz it hasn't started yet and the only reason i have it is because of my engine and i dont want to buy a new engine if it dies out or what not before the 75k or 5 yrs. would i get the full warranty back if i cancel before it starts? im still under the factory 3 yr 36k. if they cant fix a steering problem, mostly just an alignment, would they fix an engine problem for me or will they complain they cant get it on the rack or lift and fix it?

Do you want them to fix it under warranty or do are you trying to pay them to have them fix it? If warranty, why should they fix it when you are the one who slammed it into a curb? Warranty is for fixing factory defects, not driving error......

like mentioned above, its a liability issue for them not to even attempt to get it on a lift if its that lowered. And as megahurtz said, warranty wont cover this. Not even an extended warranty. Your best bet is to take it to a independent shop and see if they can check the alignment specs. Based on those readings, they can tell you whether something is bent or not. There should be a shop that will be able to get your car on a lift.

and the reason im wondering is.. if they cant get it on a lift to work on a suspension problem im paying for, how are they going to work on a problem i might run into with my car thats under warranty if anything happens to my engine.

Look in the phone book for a independent shop that specializes in suspenion/undercar work. Or one close tho that. And see if they can help.
what i used to do before going to a shop is put my stock front bumper on and raise the car since i had coilovers. changing the bumper is a 2 minute job and adjusting the coilovers takes like 45 mins but its deinfatly worth it when the shop can work on your car problem free.

That's wrong, they are NOT allowed to cancle the entire warranty. There is a sticky in this forum explaining that for them to void your warrenty, they HAVE to prove the problem was caused by your mod. If you change the suspension and the engine fail, they CAN NOT void your warrenty, it's the law. And if they do, you can print off that page, find the proper documents that page refers to and tell them to fix or you'll get a laywer, they'll fix it.

As for the extended car warrenty, I belileve that is like $800 bucks right? You know you can get a D17 for about $400, and have a shop put it in for 200-300 right? That's a total of $100 less than the warrenty.

but yea, i only did this if i needed some major done which happened once. it was worth paying 50 bucks for an alignment rather then Honda giving me a problem.

well im going to a body shop near here that i called and made sure they can align a lowered car. they called there alignment shop and checked on it and its all go. so i will find out tomorrow and update. i got the money, so someone better fix it. lol. money isn't the problem, finding a person to do it is. but i think i found one. reputable place which does the dealership outsourcing so we shall see. i've seen there work so its good.
about raising the car... the problem is the steering and alignment so if i raise it, its no help at all, i want it lowered to make it aligned properly. thanx tho. if i do have a major problem like engine or what not, ill raise it cuz its adjustable.

Well like I sugested earlier: If you do run into a warranty situation, call the warranty provider to get a list of shops in your area that cover your warranty. Call thoes shop's to see if the'll work on your car... Good luck
