Angry Yup, All Read and help me out :(

Yea so, around 2004 April'sh, i go to South Motors Honda Dealership, A honda dealership here in miami, Florida. I pick out a nice looking 2001 LX honda civic with about 60k miles on it.. for $9500.00. Not bad i think, considering i was able to also get a couple warranties such as Honda Certified Warranty (good warranty, i believe its 75k bumper bumper, and 100k powertrain). Also some other warranties such as if someone steals the car or anything you get a certain percentage of the car's worth back. GAP its called? Anyways to the topic, i thought i had a pretty good deal.. right? NO! this car has caused nothing but horrible migraines, the dealer/garage manager presented nothing but horrible customer service, and in my honest opinion, the Dealership Service Garage has been pushing the warranty to the end to finally diagnose my problems.. i will list them since April 2004.

1. The batter has been nothing but a pos, used, to the end of its life, had to replace it with my own money. Not bad but being a honda certified car shouldn't the battery have been atleast workable?

2. The floor mats were missing, i wait almost 3 weeks to get new ones from the dealership only to find out.. they aren;t the models floormats. So fed up with the customer service and the lies about it being ready, i just take em.

3. The A/C has a horrible smell to it like a cat died in the system. I have complained NUMEROUS times about it, most likely mold or mildew in the A/C system but the dealership has said and i quote "nothing is wrong with it we sprayed some deodorant in there". GREAT ! .. it still has a funkiness smell to it.

4. My Driver side door is uneven compared to the Rear Door (its a 4 door honda). I can see my door bulging out somewhat, and also i feel like sometimes i can hear wind coming in through the Door's gap. Was this car in an accident? i have yet to find out...

5. I recently had the whole transmission just completely blow out. I mean, i have complained again, NUMEROUS times that my transmission is slipping, and that the tranny was making all sorts of noises. I have taken the Car to the Service Garage dealer several times to check up on it and they say "the Tranny is perfectly fine, if you want we can flush it for so and so price!" yea ok w/e. Funny how my whole system just breaks down after they said it was "all ok!". It ends up being an "Internal Error" and as i caught a glimpse of the Report it reads "Several metal fragments in the hoses, fluid leakage, etc." the whole goddam system was destroyed. I was happy in a way that i was going to get a new tranny system, but angry that the A-holes at the dealership were not going to give me a loaner and i had to pay for the Tow truck. I have a full time job, full time School, Army and National Guard that i need to attend to.. Not even a loaner to help me out for Hondas own fault. how long did they take? about 2 1/2 weeks of no vehicle transportation at all... Awesome..

6. About 3 weeks ago my SRS, Maintenance, and Engine light goes on, woo hoo now my airbag system is malfunction so if i get into an accident of some sort i can look forward to smashing my face into the steering wheel, the Car needs to be maintained AGAIN???, and the Engine is all FKD UP, great safety standars HONDA ! ****ers.

7. Lastly, I turn my ignition key several times only to hear it click at the end, no its not the battery i just replaced it. Is it the starter? is it the ignition? the cell? i don't knw but its frustrating having to sit in my car 5-10 minutes on end turning on and off hoping for my car to start and just ultimetly hearing it click at the end, the lights do turn on though.. :|. Just another fkin problem to add to my **** list of this horrible troublesome car. I have been more times to the Dealership Garage then school/hospital/ and work combined (a bit exagerated but it sure damn feels like it).

What should i do guys? what CAN i do? everyone keeps telling me sell that pos, or get a new car, etc.. but its financed and its easier said than done you know? im seriously about to just sabotage this crap *** car you know? insurance purposes (j/k but dammit i sure wouldn;t mind it). THIS is a 2001 LX that i have taken care off, oil changes, minor maintances, all that sort of stuff, so its not like i drive it hard at all. Im a safe driver, and i look after it. SO WTF IS UP WITH THIS CAR!. Someone or anyone please throw me some suggestions and help me out here.. im very angry, frustrated, and i feel utterly helpless to the devils i call "dealerships". Thanks for your time.

get a lawyer, and learn to say these words the very next time you walk in " let me speak with your manager" and " let me speak with the mananger of the dealership" and "here is my lawyer's business card"

LEMON LAW. You bought it from the dealer, USE IT...it's the protection for you that supposedly you get from the dealer when you bought it...

no matter what, dealers are required by law to provide customer with lemon car protection for 30 days.
