Right Rear Strut Creak and another Pop?

My right rear strut I think has a slight issue. When going over bumps or uneven surfaces it tends to creak/squeak a bit each time. Not sure why any suggestions?

Also ocassionally when I go from a dead stop and start moving the car give a kinda pop sound, not sure why or where but it's very random and not all the time.

take to dealer have them check it out if ur car is still under warranty...or if u have a friend have them check it out...

as for the strut its prolly a bad shock which is doing that...and the pop i dunno

my car is doing the same thing, i took it in and had it checked when i had new rotors put in and they said the strut was leaking. i thought it was b/s and ive been seaching this site for a thread like this forever. w/ my vic its front left. i plan on getting tokico blues very soon wheather its leaking or not, should i even worry about it or is it somehting other than the struts/shocks.

Rear sway bushing, Im assuming your talking about the point where the strut actually connects to the car. What do I lube it with I have some white lithium spray

Yeah stock 15"s with covers. I do need to get the wheels rotated once I get the new pads and shoes put on.

Just curious how a wheel nut would cause the strut to creak?

Because you do not know for sure the SHOCK (its not a strut) is making the noise. When you have a few loose nuts, the wheel rocks on the studs and makes a banging noise I doubt thats the issue however. When its the right rear thats in question, unless you feel/see oil coming out of it, its probably not the damper. The exhaust could be banging something, there's a couple sway bar bushings that could cause some noises. If its a squeak, it isn't the damper, dampers go bang.

the sway bar bushing makes creak noise over bumps. I'm not sure what to lube with but just call a honda dealer and ask.

Thanks, Ill call them today and ask them whats up. Unfortunately I cannot bring it into them since I am a sales rep and cannot be even one day without my car. Not to mention the fact that for things like this they usually end up telling me that its nothing. Just like my window issue where they couldn't find the issue with it not going all down on auto and when I get in the car it sticks.

Hey Whelan,

Did you ever figure out the problem? I have the same exact noise now. Whenever I make a turn over an uneven surface or over a bump, I get a squeak almost sounds like grinding noise from my rear right back. Also starting from a stop, I hear some popping noise from the back also like you. Well, I have to take the car in on Monday to the dealer to fix another creak I have; the creak I have is from a bad fenderwall weld in the left front of the car.

Thank you.
