A couple months ago I installed an AEM cold air intake on my EX... the increase in accelleration is very noticeable above 3500 rpms; I am very satisfied with its performance. I even get a nice tiny growl in my engine above 3000 rpms...along with that nice little whistle.
I noticed, however, that it doesnt make the bubbly growl that I usually hear on cars without exhausts
(I refuse to stick one on until the new tanabe comes out) and I was wondering if there is anyone else out there that is having the same result.
Ive heard exhaust-less cars with intakes growl sometimes louder than some exhausts!
Is it because my stock resonator is still attached?

if you installed a CAI or even an SRI, you shouldn't have your stock resonator. if you did, you installed it totally wrong. the only other resonator is down by your exhaust.

Na... im obviously talking about the exhaust resonator...there is no way my cai would have passed had I left in the intake resonator... I've heard lately lots of people talking about eliminating the exhuast resonator, im just wondering whether having left it there muffles some of the noise I should be getting from my cai...

i had a CAI for a while without an exhaust and it vroomed loudly at 3 Rpms after i putmy exhaust i cna't hear it over the exhaust it doens't matter till u get an exhaust...
