hey guys, yesterday i was going to church and i was trying to get in infront of a truck on local streets cuz i was late and the car infront was just lagging , and while i was doing that i was still in first cuz i was going from a intersection and i wasn't paying attention to the rpm or anything and i didnt shift out into 2nd gear and it went past the redline mark and the rev limiter kicked in and my rpm bounced. I dont know if it's because of that but when i start my engine up the "engine check" light keeps blinking for a while, and then stops. i dont know if it's part of the ecu programming when you start your car or if it's something i never noticed before.. but i dont really remember the light blinking for long if it ever did on engine start. could someone please enlighten me on what's happening? did i mess something up maybe in my engine?? or will the light stop blinking if i disconnect my battery and reset my ecu?? thanks guys!!
