New here .
200K on 1998 hx civic coupe non vtec. CEL with code p1336. The decoder thread says RPM flucuation sensor signal interupt.
Question's Where is this sensor in on the engine? Where can I get a FSM hardcopy on this ride? and how do I reset the CEL (the fuse block in the engine bay is not numbered) so I'm not sure of the location of #6 as stated in the CEL reset thread.

that code doesnt neccessarily mean the sensor is bad. it could be bad, or you could have a wiring or ECU issue. You have to do the procedure outlined in the manaul to diagnosis it. Now I dont know if the codes are the same for the 98 as the 01-03, but I would help you but ony have the 01-04 civic service manaul.

But autozone should have a copy of the hanes service manaul for like $20 and that should explain the procedures for checking the code in there.

Thanks for the reply, I plan on getting a manual this weekend. Have a feeling that it might be a short in wiring. Mice in the enginge bay at times
