ECU Problems?

ECU Problems?
2001 EX 5 spd - 51k
The other day, I was driving 40 mph in the city and not pushing the car at all when the srs / abs light came on and the gauges all jumped a bit. the car shuttered then the key alert came on and within 5 seconds the car shut off.
I rolled to a gas station and pulled the key out then tried to restart and it turned over. I got home and reset the ecu and no problems for a day or so. Im thinking it may be the ECU??? 
Anyone have any ideas?
