How long did YOUR firestones last?
11728Kilometers Front tires down to the wear bars..Never peeled out.. drive quite aggressively.. but never spun the tires (except in snow).. Had to buy a pair of CHeapo tires.. which actually work much better in the snow than the firestones did.. I only paid $34 a tire so and I'm getting 17" Rims and tires this spring so I'm not too worried about it lol..
Just wondering how many of you Really dislike the OEM Firestone tires....The dealer tried selling me brand new OEM tires for $145 a piece.. Riiiight..
Cheers

my firestones will be gone this summer. i have just over 11000 miles on my car (but i drove with my 17"rims and tires for 1500 miles or so). so once the warm weather comes aroudn ill put the other rims on and next winter im going with blizzaks...yeah baby
12,957 miles on my Firestones and they are still going. I hate them, but they still have OK tread on them. I have noticed that they wear alot faster than other tires. I had a set of Pirelli P6000s on my MX-6, and I had over 50,000 miles on those tires before I considered getting a new set.

i had mine on about 5000 or so miles and they already got a hole.
At least they don't blow out and kill people like the old Firestones

They're still firestones...
Anyways, I rotated mine at 6500. They seem a lil' worse than before, I dunno. I've peeled out in them a few times (okay, like 10 times)... went over a curb with them and nearly put a hole in one of them on the side part of the tire. (You've gotta see what it looks like when I get a picture of it cuz I'm gonna need a solution for it until I get new tires, but that'll most likely be a while from now.) It's funny though... at first I thought the Civic handled nicely, but... everyone's saying once they changed their stock tires, they had better handling when turning. (Like fast on the freeway, I wouldn't turn at 80-85 or higher on the freeway cuz the car starts to lose control... and now I know why... because of the DAMN tires, not me. I could've wrecked BADLY (I was in the far left lane.)

my tires realllly suck i got 12,000 mi on them and i skit and spin on dry roads...honda should give me FREE tires...yah right that's a laugh
Okay, I rotated my tires at 16000 km, the front ones were shot! Almost to the wear bars. I figure I might be able to squeeze about 40000 km out of them. They really suck in the winter though! My back end is so tail happy! I can totally drift with out pulling the e-brake.

Yup.. and Honda/Firestone don't honour theor 60k mile warranty either.. They're excuse was " Tires are like breaks they only wear if use them" Which make no F'ckn sense cause every time you drive the tires are used.... They blamed it on ym driving style.. I never once peeled out with the tires.. sure I'm hard on em cornering and such.. but no tires I've ever had wore out so damn fast...I've lodged formal complaints with Honda canada...and Firestone Canada.. hopefully I'll have some luck with it.. Damn Illegitimate children.. he he bastards.

my back tire on the left just decided to go flat one day...honestly i have no idea what happened, when firestone looked at it it was a manufactured defect or something, i have the paperwork but never actually read it, they replaced it free of charge and i wasnt driving when it happened...but ya !! the tires are garbage..thats my opinion!!
I have just over 23,000km (~14500 miles) and my FR690s are still in good condition. The wear is even, but obviously not as good as brand new because I notice that it's not as good in the snow as it was last year when it was brand new. I'm not going to worry about it for this season, seeing as how it's January and we're still getting above freeze temps. It feels like spring already... god bless global warming
I took em off before winter to put my winter tires on. I had done one winter and one summer with each set at that time and about 16000KM in total. Wich makes 8000km, my front firestones have pretty much melted compared with the ones that were in the back.
Compared with my winter tires wich I have driven the exact same amount of KM, they look pretty much brand new. And hey, were talking about winter tires that are usually made of softer rubber, really softer rubber.
The dealer told me that they didn't understand why honda was still using those crappy tires...but hey there was nothing he could do about it, firestone didn't give any warranty.
is it true that every bolt on my car is warrantied but not my tires.... ? And if so, arent't there something we can do?

I'm at 17,000 miles, and I rotated them at 10,000....and so far the are looking good. Should last to about 30,000 miles with keeping up the rotating and air pressure. In saying this.... The traction in dry weather is ok, but in the rain... they are slick. Hate to think people drive with these in snow ?
I just took mine off with 6,000 miles on them. Put on some Yokohama AVS db's and realized how good the car handles with a real set of tires on it !!! Those cheap a$$ Firestones gave so much while cornering I thought they were going to fold in half on their sides!!
The Firestones were junk. mine went like 30,000 kms i think, and it was quite a stretch. maybe less. I have blizzaks now for winter. One of my firestones actually wore through and went flat, terrible tires.
