Angry Typical Noise............?!?!?

ighty, around my power steering area and where my alternator is, there is a weird whinning sound, i cannot tell what thing that it is coming from. all electiral devices are working just fine and i have no problems in my steering either. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

VTEC01EX is an unknown quantity at this point
A whining power steering pump is quite common on our cars. It works fine, just whines a little bit. I bet if you obtained a mechanic's stethoscope and isolated the PS pump, that'd be what it is. If everything is working and it's not driving you crazy, I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks for the help!! the sound does not reallly bother me inside of the car but i just did not want something to break while driving normally or at high speeds. thanks again!!
