wtf is up with my auto tranny? HELP!
I had the same problem about 4 years ago with my saturn. The person who owned the car before me got it stuck and rocked it back and fourth. Ended up the pin that held all the gears together snapped and my gears went everywhere. I got it rebuilt for about $650. I would take it to AAMACO!
How did they flush it? Check A/T fluid level first. It sounds like you trans. is not engaging into gear due to low fluid. It may be that your mechanic did not properly tighten down clamps/drain plug/...etc. after the flushing & refill service. Check for any sign of leak.

it could be, that the fluid levels are messed up. But, i did check them yesterday when the car was off (no way in hell im tryin to turn the car on after what happened, dont want to risk nothin) just to see if theres any obvious indifference on the fluid level. it all looked fine so, the only thing i can do is wait and see. dropping the car off in an hour, and i MIGHT get an estimate and diagnostic today. i talked to a guy there about if i could speak with a mechanic to see why my tranny failed with only alittle over 65,000 miles on it. he said, they don't take the transmission out to see the exact problem. They simply reccomend a re-built one for around 2600.00 from some third party place that installs transmissions!! I told him, that was not very honorable to do. Simply reccomend that people spend 2600.00+ on something that might be a small fix! bullshit!

damn 3k, just 2k more and you can get k20a2 with engine, tranny, ecu axles. I say just buy one of those $500 tranny's on ebay have the shop check it out before you install it. If it can save you $2k i think it worth the rest of getting a messed up tranny.
well good luck to you on that.
well good luck to you on that.
had the same thing happen at 35000 km, the car would just rev real high, at 3000 rpm id get the equivilant power of like 1200 rpm, that lasted about 5 minutes before a $150 tow to honda. The tranny was ****ed and they replaced it under the 100,000km power train warrenty
100,000km = a little over 62000 miles. Just outside of warrenty.
sadly probably a new tranny for you, do a K20A2 swap :P

I had similiar problem with my tranny this week. I used this site and found a business selling the transmission I needed really easily. The company I found even provided me the VIN# so I could run a CarFax Report to verify the miles.
I paid 650 for a tranny with 20K on it. A little higher in price then I wanted but I really don't have time to BS around looking. I think it's reasonable though.

Yes!
Well, this is the first time i've been able to sit down and update this thread. I am doing so in the event someone needs info on being treated like manure from a dealership. this is how to take care of it.
So, i contacted American Honda corporation, and let them know what happened with my car. I told them how Norm Reeves Honda was treating me. They didn't seem to give a **** about what happened with the tranny, They just reccomend the easiest thing to do, replace it with a shitty one for a grip of cash. american honda did not like the way norm reeves was conducting business with their customers. american honda corp' agreed that my transmission should NOT have gone out so quick, reguardless of how the car was driven. It was decided that instead of me paying the 2600.00 for a re-built transmission with a 2 year warantee, American Honda corporation has agreed to send from their factory, a brand new transmission with a new 3 year or 30,000 mile warantee!!!! All I am paying for is the labor, turns out it's around 500.00 or so!! man, what a ****ing relief! Let me tell you guys, even though honda might have shitty trannies, they won't hesitate to help you out. Take my advise though, GO DIRECTLY TO AMERICAN HONDA and make a case report with them. dont even waste your time trying to get a dealership/third party installer to give u a good deal. if you are nice to them, and tell them what happened, and are up to date on your fluid levels/maintenance record, they will work with you as much as they can. even if your car is out of warantee. Another friend of mine had also such success scoring a new transmission for his 2001 civic (more understandable, 2001 civ's were recalled for tranny defects) through . do NOT go to the dealership where you bought your car, they scam you there. example: NORM REEVES HONDA SUPER STORE HUNTINGTON BEACH! i am very happy now, a brand new tranny for 500.00, i dont know how i can beat that one with a stick!!!!!!!
