Different Clutch and Tranny Problem

Hello all! My problem is similar to others, as my clutch sqweaks when letting out the pedal and you can hear it outside the car. I am driving a 2003 Civic EX manual with 36,000 miles. You can also feel the sqweaking in the pedal itself as you let it out. Now the gears are starting to not fall into place proprely, not like a grinding just difficult to get in and starting to get a studder on engaugement of clutch. Honda has replaced the master clutch cylendar. The only mods are an intake, ceramic header with DEI header wrap also with the high heat silicon spray you are supposed to spary the header, and denso plugs. Honda originally told me after the third time taking it them, the header was getting too hot and the grease was melting off, and i needed to get header wrap and paint/spray, but it is still making the noise and seems to be getting worse. Could this be a problem with the release bearing that comes off the end of the fork? Should I install a Flywheel that disapates heat quickly? I would appreciate any help at all. THANKS BIG!!!

Grease was melting off of what? I dont see how the heat from the header can cause any grease to melt unless it was directly touching it or in really close proximity. Sounds like to me they didnt install the clutch cylinder correctly or maybe it has air trapped in the lines.

I had an Accord with the same problem. I took it to the dealer 4 times for the same thing. They just kept greasing the fork that holds the throw out-bearing at the pivot point. On the third visit they called Honda. Honda said to use a different grease, and it never happened again. It was some white lithium grease, I think, I don't remember, it was a long time ago.

I have an 03 EX with 37K on it. Ihad the exact same issue you did. The sqeak is coming from where the clutch fork meets the slave cylinder. Just clean up the area and lude it with lithium grease. The shuddering you're feeling and the difficulty to change gears is the pressure plat going bad. The actual shuddering is the slippage. The dealer replaced my entire assembly. Then 4K miles later the throwout bearing that they replaced starting going bad. They then accused me of racing and would not do any tranny work again......@$$holes.

I too had the same issue. After everythig was replaced they finally pulled the tranny and replaced the clutch fork. However I would pull off the slave clyinder and lube the pivot point where the slave meets the fork with some moly lube like Metalica454 said. They did that so many times on my car but they said that it grooved the clutch fork so they had so special order one from Japan, guess it was on national back order or something. Damn Honda! Now that your car is out of warranty I would recomend getting rid of it so you dont have to dump money and throw parts at it at your own expense. My car has had been a piece of junk since I bought it, hope yours is more relliable than mine. My car is bone stock except the tires I replaced at 27000.

Does any one have a shop/service manual for the 03 civic or can point me in the right direction so I don't have to buy one? I have looked all over on here and I am sure someone has one or there is a post already, but haveing a heck of a time finding it. Thanks
