Clutch Problem.. ?

I have an 03 civ that I bought used with 12,000. I now have 28000 miles on it.

Here's my problem.
Recently, I've had problems taking off in first gear. My car will studder & it almost feels like its going to die on me. I've bought a used civic (manual) before and never had any clutch problems.

I took it into Honda the first time.. They didn't find anything. I mean I couldn't get my car to do it when i took off. I mean the closer I was paying attention to it... the more I noticed as soon as I was driving the car for about an hour, it usually started. So I did take it up there as it was doing it one time and they noticed it too. Well found out the clutch was glazed. They cleaned it or whatever they do.

But tonight it seemed like it was doing it again... it's been probably a couple months since this happened. I'm not sure.
I didn't think I was that bad of a driver & I know it was a younger guy that owned this car before me. I mean is it safe to say I'm in the market for a new clutch?

Please, anyone feel free to comment on this or share any experiences... I'm looking for some suggestions..

A glazed flywheel is an overheated flywheel. It's probably been through lots of intentional cluch slips or driven by someone who just started to learn how to drive a manual. Typically, a resurfacing of the flywheel will do. Resurfacing is using a die grinder to scour the flywheel surface to create a new random "scratched" pattern, similar to resurfacing brake rotors. This creates a new surface for the cluch pads to break into. After resurfacing, drive easy for the first few hundred miles to break it in.

If it is me, I would just replace the flywheel and clutch with a new one. Labor is about the same because both resurfacing and replacing require the the removal of the transmission. Only the cost of parts will make it different.
