My car's about to pass 40k. Stock clutch. Got the car with 30k miles. Learned to drive stick with this clutch
. Chick who had car before me probably learned with this clutch too
. Anyways, just figured i'd give ya some background info on it so you could help me out more accurately. So lately it just dosen't feel like its grabbing 1st as much as it use to. In higher RPMs it sounding like the engines load is slipping. Dunno what to say, just curious how much longer you think it'll live before i have to replace it. Will it last until Feb, or march? (Daily Driven) That's when i'm going turbo and upgrading the clutch with an ACT one. Don't wanna have to dig into my turbo fund yet to get an ACT clutch. Also, how much you think a shop would ask to put an ACT clutch in for me? I'm not familiar with tranny work and not willing to risk doing it myself.

How much ya think a shop will charge for labor to put a new clutch in?

It's kinda funny....how everyone is offering 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warrantys, and we all still have a 3 year 35,000 mile warranty. Erks me a lil'
clutch wouldnt be replaced even if the warranty was still around. its a wear part, they wouldnt cover it. saying they would/should is like saying they should replace your brake pads when they wear out. labor for cluch should be $200-$450 depending where you go.
