rust smell
about 2 weeks ago, weather here in cali was fine and sunny. then rain started to happen for the last past week. one morning i start my car up and drive normally.. i smelled something horrible like it was some sort of rust. more like rust and **** combined.. it was sick.
did the rain had to do anything with that smell? like maybe my brake disc/rotors were rusting because of the rain or maybe my exahust piping? my brakes are 100% stock and only exhaust piece i have is a downpipe & cat (megan hi flow cat pipe which is a 1 piece). i didnt run over any animal or anything of that nature, but i did rinse my car twice hoping that smell would go away but its still their.
any idea?

Did you get into your car with wet shoes any of those days? If so, that is where the smell is coming from. When the water hits the carpet, the **** smell comes in. It goes away when it dries.

yeah.. leave yer windows cracked for a bit.. chances are yer carpet got a lil wet.. cali does not have the cleanest air so the rain gets pretty rank on the way down.. and since it never rains in cali chances are yer just not use to it..
if it dosent go away chances are theirs a lil moisture buildup in yer vents.. turn the heat on full blast for like 10 minutes and that should take care of that.. (i learned that hear and now my vents nolonger smell like old ***)
