This might be a newbie question and I did try to search for some related answers but did not find one. I have an 04 coupe(3weeks old) and I am not to familiar with civics but is it just me or when at idle our engines is a bit noisy, can't describe it but it's like a little ticking sound. Is this normal? I can only hope that it is. Does anybody know what I might be talking about?

Ok I went to break to listen to the car to better describe the noise. At first start, no noise, the engine seem to be smooth. I guess when it has warmed up it happens. It sounds like a diesel engine. Can it be my valves? this car is not even a month old. Can anyone enlighten me with this noise? thanks.

mine makes a tick, has since day 1, a friend told me its possibly injectors? i dunno but the noise im talking about is a normal noise and isnt very loud.. but that noise is constant at idle..

yeah, it seems this way with mine and I just want to know if its normal, otherwise it wont hurt to take it in the dealer. I hope it's just me being paranoid.

If its that tick-tick-tick noise it's normal...almost every honda 4 cyl. does it.
