hot as hell and no ac

a bout 2 years ago i smashed the front end in. had it repaired and ok. new radiator and condensor had to be replaced. well first time i went to use the ac it was cold except i hear a clunking noise and then it went away. then after awhile i hear a hissing sound whenever the ac is on. you can also smell something coming from the vents. got lazy and never got it fixed since fall was coming. well now its hot as hell and want to get it fixed. any idea as to what it might be? read up on ac sealer and decided its not a good idea. was gonna get the leak test kit, but you have to use their uv light. if i get that can i just use my flourescent black light?

If the condensor was replaced they might have not recharged the lines.
