Angry CD player scrapping my cd's

Hi,

My civic lx 2004 is scrapping all my cd's !
The center of the cd's are all weird, like burned !
It seems like if the player is over-heating, and damaging my cd's
These are all own'burned cd, not originals.

My honda dealer said that they can't garantee not orginals cd's....
Someone else is having this issue ?

Toss out the stock and put in an aftermarket unit. Save yourself some headache.

Well does this happen with original cd's, not burned ones? Cause if it is only doing it to your burned cd's, then it isnt the cd player.

Try a regular CD, and take it to Honda then. They'll say ANYTHING to get out of warranty work.

But this does sound really weird. I took my radio apart to clean it, and there's really nothing in there to get that hot.

takumi is on a distinguished road
Do you have the heater on or something? The vents are right next to where the CDs are. I have a 04 LX myself and never experienced this problem. Go see if it's doing it original CDs. If so, tell Honda. If not, try buying a different brand of CD-R/CD-RWs.
