Angry Throttle bracket problems? ANY IDEAS??

So as some know I've been having a problem with my car not wanting to idle. It's a problem that seems to come and go but since I made a three hour trip to Toronto yesterday it's been doing it constantly. Even on the way home last night and this morning.

imagine stopping at a stop sign or traffic light and having to go gas, brake, gas, brake because if you don't the idle will drop off and the car will die.

I'm kinda tired of my dealership (long story for another day) so I'm taking matters into my own hands.

I think either my Throttle positioning sensor is bad or that possibly the throttle is closing too much and choking the engine when I stop producing RPM's. Is there a way to adjust that? It would appear that my cable has the proper tension in it as well.

Throttle cable has nothing to do with idle, although having it too tight will cause the rpms to stick. But your problem is the idle being too low. The TPS being bad will cause the rpms to constantly move around, like revving to 2k rpms by itself. That's also not your problem. You need to raise the idle by adjusting the throttle stop screw. That's what Honda isn't telling you. Did you read my sticky about this? It's in the vehicle problems forum

I believe so. Its the screw that the throttle lever rests on when closed. If you pull the lever to open the throttle and then let it go back down, it will stop once it touches that screw. I adjusted my idle lower by mistake the first time, and the car almost stalled out when driving. So make sure you turn it the right way. But it's all in my post.

haven't had a chance yet but I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I played with the cable tonight and it seemed to get the idle back somewhat.

I'm still gonna check that screw though.

Next will be to find out why the car bogs down so hard in first gear. It has a hell of a time reaching 4,500 RPM's. Once it does, it's golden.
