maintenence required light question

recently i've noticed that my maintenence light flashes longer ... like 15 times maybe?
just curious if this is warning of an 'almost required servicing'.

anyone noticed something like this?

i havent called the dealer, but plan on it soon..


ohhhh!. and also a click under the pedals when i turn sharp left at slow speeds? any ideas?

i had that...when i brought it to the dealer, they just re-set it for me. it's in the manual - read up kiddo!!

Yeah, it is normal. It is a warning sort of, that you will need maintenance pretty soon (usually oil change). I think it happens when your oil starts breaking down. Pretty soon it will stay on for good, when you need an oil change or are out of fluids.

It's just based on mileage. If you didn't reset it at your last oil change (because chances are, it wasn't on yet), it'll come on anyway. The Civic doesn't know if the oil is breaking down or not.
