dodge neon question

Ive got a buddy witha dodge neon and after about 60k miles his engine sound and feels like hemi. Its loud and the whole car shakes- something is seriously wrong - any ideas ? thanx

He's probably got a bad head gasket. Neons are notorius for that. My g/f had a neon a few years ago that leaked oil after 15k miles.

I had a 420 engine Mit. Eclipse which has the same engine as the neon, only tuned differently. It leaked oil all the time no matter how many times I changed the gaskets...get the head checked out for warpage and make sure the radiator stays clean and efficient, otherwise you can kiss that engine good bye. Sorry, but those engines are worthless after about 50,000 miles...also, don't be suprised if that tranny blows at around 80,000 miles...mine did...
