Clunk when Driving

Hey I tried searching with no luck so forgive me if Im repeating myself. I have a problem with my capliers (I think) and they make a clunk whenever I touch the brakes in reverse and then move forward. The honda fella tells me that I should have the vehicle i every 16K for a "brake service" which I think is BS. No one I have ever know has had to have their brakes adjusted so much on a car, especially not a new one. I am pretty proficeint with cars so I have tried lubing the calipers at its pivot points with no luck. I am getting really pisssed with this noise cause I hear it all the time and it clicks or clunks even when I let off the gas from a hard acceleration. has anyone else had this and found a cure? I refuse to pay honda to 115 bucks a service every 6 months for a brake system that should be good for 40-50Km....

Mine does it too, I actually complained to Honda about it and they pulled out an article saying it's normal.. the guy sounded like he explained the same thing to at least 100 customers.

Do you think it should be normal though? Mind didnt start doing it till 20K or so..... and its getting really bad. I think today I am going to pull the brakes off and clean it up and add some disc brake anti squeal to see if that makes it any better. In my opinion the clunk sounds like the floating caliper is shifting and moving around without lubrication. Illl post and you guys know what I find.

It's actually the small gap between the caliper and the brake pad. You MIGHT be able to find some shim clips, like the older honda's have. They are there for nothing more than to put some pressure on the pad so it won't Clunk.

But it causes no harm whatsoever.
