Exclamation auto downshifts rapidly

I have a 2001 Auto Civic VTi and sometimes when I brake the automatic transmission downshifts rapidly making the car jump.

Have any of you guys experienced this? I'm not sure whether this is just a result of having Grade Logic Control or what but I have a feeling its not mean't to be felt this much. It's still under warranty too.

How many miles? The most obvious thing would be to first try a fluid change. It often makes a big difference.

THEN take it for warranty if it still acts up.

i noticed that too...if i was going at a decently fast speed then slow down rapidly, i can feel the transmission downshift

any chance it could be the locking torque convertor disengaging the lock?

When I changed the spark plug with Iridium IX, it stopped. Maybe change your spark plugs and see? I've changed the stock Denso plugs at 33K. The plugs have a little bit of brownish on the white tile.

Yeh, it only seems to happen whilst driving down a hill - thats why I suspected that it was CVT but I'm not 100% sure. It is a relatively new car and Honda have a rep for great and reliable cars so I dont think (and hope) that it isn't the car...
