HELP stripped bolt on cat conv. while changing exhaust
I changed my exhaust just now and one of the 3 bolts on the cat somehow very easily stripped out on me! ahhhh what should i do? Should i leave the two there and order an aftermarket cat or drive it for 3 days with the two bolts till i can get to work and use a torch to heat it and hammer out the bolt since it is pressed into the cat i have an 03 si leave some advice please
the bolt is a pressed fit into the stock cat then the exhaust is butted up against with a nut securing that on it must have cross threaded cause they are all f**** up i hack sawed off the remainder of the bolt and then drilled a hole in it and it still didnt wanna come out i dont wanna drill any bigger cause i dont want the original hole messed up (i wasnt exactly centered (hey would you get it centered with a foot of room under the car to work with?)) I think after i get off work sat afternoon im gonna stop up at the nearby gas station and give em 20 bucks to heat it up and pop it out This was all a learning experience i guess thanks for the suggestions guys
