problem with exhaust...

hey guys i have the apexi WS 1 exhaust on my car,a nd the other day, i backed up into a side walk thing, i'm not sure what they are called. But i backed up into it, and it hit the bottom of my exhaust, not the muffler, the tip. It hit it al the way on the bottom. I guess maybe it pushed the exhaust back or something. It loooks the same, but not there is a sound, it sounds like squeeky springs or a squeeky camber kit. But whenever i start the car, or go on a bump or something, it makes that squeeky sound. I think it may be shaking a little more now too, does anyone know what this problem is or how to fix it? thanks

i fixed it, the rubber thing where the hanger goes into, i guess it got pushed up, so it wasn't pushed up next to the car, so the hanger was shaking, and the hanger was hitting against the car, but i pushed the rubber thing back, and now the exhaust isn't rattling anymore, however, even if the tip doesn't touch the rear bumper, can it still melt the paint? thanks

if the muffler is pushed back enough it will still melt the paint. i had a similar problem with my muffler on my stock bumper. it melted the **** out of it and it wasn't even touching the bumper

if its an inch away from the bumper you have nothen to worry about. but if its still pushed back i would just get it fixed. i've also seen people put strips of carbonfiber on the under side of the bumper where the exhaust tip exsist by doing this no matter how far its set back it won't burn your bumper. just keeping on checking your bumper after your finished crusing. if it gets worse then get it fixed or do the carbon fiber thing.
