high-pitched whining sound on rainy days

On rainy days when I make a turn onto a road, I hear this high-pitched whining noise. I think that it's coming from the front driver's side somewhere. It only seems to happen after I've turned onto a road and am accelerating. It lasts only a second and doesn't happen all that often. Any ideas what it could be?

Check your power steering fluid. Otherwise stuff like that is hard to figure out. I've been getting all kinds of noises from mine.

Thanks, I'll check it out. But I don't understand why I only hear it when I'm driving in wet conditions (raining or wet roads).

it is water getting on your underside, everyone gets that on their civics. It is nothing wrong so don't worry about it.

Ok. I was worried that it might be something like water getting into a damaged CV boot or something like that. But from what I've read on another website a damaged CV joint would be making a clicking sound. Either way, I'll bring the noise up when I take my Civic in for the next oil change. I only have 2 more months (or a 1,400 miles) until my warranty expires so I want to tackle any potential problems before that happens.
