Power Locks Don"t Work

I don't know wats up wit my car but the last couple of months my power locks won't shut. I try closing them with the power lock button on the inside and it does nothing and the remote will not work either. None of my doors will lock and I have to manually lock them by pushing down on the lock itself or with the key. If neone has any probs like this wit their cars, ya ugyz wanna help n give me some info on what to do.

check your fusebox - the backup fuse might have blown, which I think is a known culprit..

i know thios is sort of a old post but i just installed new front component speakers with 1" tweeters and when we were screwing the driver side door speaker in the looks started go hay wire(locking and unlocking) and then when we tested the speakers, for some reason the passenger side window doesnt work at all(and yes we checked all connections and they are fine!) and then the power locks dont work anymore. we checked everything and nothing. so i was wondering how did you solve your prob?

if you hear the actuator moving, it is good. IF you dont hear it moving, it is either:
1. THe actuator is dead
2. The fuse are just blown
3. the plug to the actuator is unclipped

IF you do hear it moving and the lock isnt working, there could only be 1 problem:
1. The cable has come loose. take apart the door and the lock assembly, and see if the clip that holds the cable to the actuator is holding the cable correctly.

my drivers side door just started to do the same thing... i havent had a chance to look at the door yet... i talked to a honda tech and he said that i could be caused by the aftermarket alarm (BS) or it could be a fuse...
i can hear the actuator so i have to see if the fuse is blown or if the plug just came unclipped...

Don't assume it's not your aftermarket alarm. Mine did the same thing where it worked perfectly for 6 months, then didn't work for months, then worked sporadically, and finally works again. My fuse, cable, actuator, actuator clips, and door pins were all perfect. Additionally, all my aftermarket alarm connections were correct and good. During the months when it did not work, I tried using my old Honda keyless entry remote and that worked flawlessly all the time, while my aftermarket alarm's remote didn't. I found that my problem was related to my valet button sequence somehow causing an occasional brain fart on the aftermarket alarm if I did not do it perfectly on the first try. So just to be sure it's not your aftermarket alarm try your old OEM keyless remote if you have an EX.

I am having the same problem. my remote doesnt do anything. The weird thing is the passanger door works, but the drivers door doesnt work. The dealer said it might be the actuator.

also, with the door open, I cant push down the drivers side door lock. Anyone think it would be the actuator?

You won't be able to as it's like that for the drivers side for safety reasons, so you don't lock your key in by accident.

if you can hear the actuator, the plug cannot be unclipped, becuase thats how it gets its power. if you hear the actuator and your lock does not work. something is wrong with the cable, be it it came loose off the actuator arm thingy. just take it apart when you can, its easy to see what the problem is.

So what would the problem most likely be, a bad acuator or what? I am going to take my door apart tomorrow and check this out.
