whats up with our paint?
i have owned many cars and seen many cars with miles on them and no other car ive seen chips and scratches this easily. why cant honda make a good durable paint. ive got about 15k on my car and seemingly on every panel is a scratch or at least road chips all over.
50,000 miles in 3 years ... and my paint still looks pretty good, even on the front bumper and hood.
A few pebble chips here and there, but no better or worse than any of my previous cars.

obviously or paint jobs are not 4000$ they are mass produced cars. if you think thats bad my godfather has a 2000 aston marton db7 that costed 275 000$ and the paint that came on that car bubbled and began to rust.
my car has some paint chips, but the darned this is weeker than a tin can.. I can't beleive how easy it is to dent these cars... should have bought a saturn. at least if it gave out ya can get an eviro fee back on the plastic fenders (LOL)
well i read in a car magazine (in the editorial section) that the reason car paints seem to be inferior now-a-days (the writer complained about how he noticed more and more chipping on his newer car than he ever had on his old ones) is because cars are now more aerodynamic. Therefore they pick up more pebbles and stuff from the roads.
Heck no !!
Paint it any color you want.
What color is it now? If it`s Silver or Black , then you could get away with just about any color and not have to worry about things like door jams and engine compartment.
If it`s red or blue and you want to paint it green , then you might want to consider a realy deep (not dark) red or blue , like a candy color. (many layers and a layer of flake-then a couple layers of clear)

old paint had more lead in it than new paint. New environmental laws mandate crappy paint. Chevy had some car that was built in two plants, one in the eastern US and one in Cali, they said the only way you could tell the difference was that the cali cars looked like crap after a few years (and this was years ago, now all paint is like this).
Remember, if you change the color on your car, you'll have to go to the DMV to get the registration changed... I don't think it'll cost too much $100, but it's just something you gotta remember to do.
Yeah they even had problems with paint falling of of cars....................thanks for the reminder also lewal,,,,,, i was thinking of painting the car yellow and have a black spiderweb start on the roof and all around the car as i love spiders,,,, or just a big spider and no web.
